كشف الفنان خالد عبد الرحمن، عن موقف والده من دخوله عالم الفن، ذاكرًا أنه لو كان والده على قيد الحياة، ما كان ليوافق على دخوله مثل هذا العالم.

كما وضح الفنان خالد عبد الرحمن، أثناء لقاء له، على شاشة قناة السعودية، قائلًا “والدي رحمة الله عليه متدين جدا ورغم أنه لا يعرف القراءة أي أمي كان يقرأ القرآن، وما له أن يرضى بمثل هذا الوضع من حيث عملي كفنان أو مغني”.

كما أضاف أن والده توفي في عام 19882م، بأنها تركت مسؤولية تحملتها والدته، التي تحملت المسؤولية كاملة بعد وفاة والده، ووضح المعاناة الكبيرة التي كانت تعيشها.
